Canva AI for
Social Media.

A week of branded content in under an hour.

Most people spend hours making one post look right. With Canva AI and a simple system, you can batch-create an entire week of on-brand social content — LinkedIn, Instagram, X — in a single session. No design experience required.

⏱ 30 min🎓 Beginner✓ A week of branded social content
What you’ll create

Four things. One session.

By the end of this guide you’ll have a complete branded content system — not just one post, but a repeatable weekly machine.

01

5–7 branded post graphics

LinkedIn and Instagram square formats, on-brand and ready to publish.

02

3 short-form video templates

Reels, TikTok, and Shorts formats you can reuse every week.

03

A reusable brand kit

Colors, fonts, and logo placement locked in so every design stays consistent automatically.

04

A repeatable weekly batch system

A Monday morning routine that gets a full week of content live by 10am.

Before you design anything

Set up your brand kit first.

Before creating any content, spend 10 minutes setting up a Brand Kit in Canva. This locks in your colors, fonts, and logo so every design stays consistent automatically.

01

Go to Brand Hub in Canva

Brand Hub is a Pro feature — a free trial is available. Find it in the left sidebar after logging in.

02

Upload your logo

Use a PNG with a transparent background. Canva will place it automatically on every design.

03

Add your brand colors

You need HEX codes. If you don’t have them, use Claude to extract them from your website (prompt below).

04

Set your font pairing

One heading font, one body font. Canva has hundreds built in — use Claude to recommend a pairing that fits your brand.

Prompt for Claude — define your brand kit →

I need to define a brand kit for my business. Help me choose fonts and colors.

My business: [describe what you do]
My audience: [who they are -- age, industry, vibe]
Adjectives that describe my brand: [e.g. modern, warm, trustworthy, bold, minimal]
Competitors I like the look of: [optional -- name 1-2]

Suggest:
1. A font pairing (heading + body) available in Canva
2. A 5-color brand palette (primary, secondary, accent, neutral light, neutral dark)
3. The HEX codes for each color
4. One sentence describing the visual personality
The workflow

Four steps. Under 45 minutes.

Follow these in order. By Step 4 your content is scheduled and your week is set.

01

Generate your content ideas with Claude

10 min

Before opening Canva, get your content ideas ready. One session in Claude can generate a full week of posts — captions, visual concepts, hashtags, and posting times all at once.

Prompt for Claude →

I need social media content for the week of [date].

My business: [what you do]
My audience: [who they are]
My content goal: [awareness / engagement / leads / sales]
My tone: [casual / professional / educational / conversational]

Create a 7-post content calendar:
- 3 posts for LinkedIn (professional, insight-led)
- 2 posts for Instagram (visual-first, short caption)
- 2 posts for X (punchy, 1-2 sentences max)

For each post:
- Platform
- Visual concept (what the image/graphic should show)
- Full caption (ready to publish)
- 3-5 hashtags
- Best day/time to post

Focus on value and education -- not promotion. Max 1 promotional post per week.
02

Use Magic Design to generate templates

10 min

Paste your visual concept into Canva’s Magic Design. It generates 8+ template options instantly. You pick the closest one and brand it.

  • Open Canva → Create a design → choose format (LinkedIn 1200×627 or Instagram 1080×1080)
  • Click “Magic Design” in the left panel
  • Paste your visual concept from Claude
  • Choose the template that fits your brand best
  • Apply your Brand Kit in one click
03

Batch customize

10 min

Use Canva’s “Copy page” feature to duplicate a working template across all 7 posts. Change only the text and one accent element per post.

Efficiency tips

  • Lock your brand elements (logo, background) so they don’t move accidentally
  • Use “Bulk create” from a CSV to auto-populate text across multiple designs
  • Use “Background Remover” on product photos for clean cutouts
  • Use Magic Write inside a text box to refine a caption on the spot
04

Export and schedule

5 min

Export all designs in one go and schedule through Buffer or Meta’s native scheduler.

  • Select all pages → Download as PNG (2x for Instagram, standard for others)
  • Open Buffer → Create posts → upload each image with its caption
  • Schedule according to your content calendar
