What is Astro?
A web framework designed for sites that are mostly content (blogs, local business sites, landing pages). It ships almost no JavaScript, which is why it loads so fast. Think of it as a very opinionated template system that Claude Code knows how to use correctly.
Let's Build It
Step 1 of 6
Create a project folder
On your Desktop, create a new folder. Name it something like my-client-site. Open your terminal and navigate into it: cd ~/Desktop/my-client-site (On Windows, use the path to your Desktop, e.g. cd Desktop\my-client-site)

How to Know It Worked
Speed
Open GTMetrix or Google PageSpeed Insights and paste your .pages.dev URL. You should see 90+ on desktop. Mobile may be slightly lower; that's normal.
Schema
Go to search.google.com/test/rich-results and test your URL. You should see LocalBusiness, Service, and FAQ schema with no critical errors.
Pages exist
Check that service pages and location pages are live (e.g. yoursite.pages.dev/services/leak-repair or /locations/el-paso).
No placeholder content
Scan the site visually for [BUSINESS NAME] or Lorem Ipsum still showing. If you see it, tell Claude: Replace all placeholder text with real content for [Business Name].
